Solo — Universitas Slamet Riyadi (UNISRI) Surakarta, through its Professional Certification Institute (LSP UNISRI), organized a Training and Competency Certification Program from October 13–18, 2025.

The event was attended by 202 participants from various study programs, along with 28 top graduates representing each department. The six-day program took place at Building A, 3rd Floor Seminar Room, and aimed to enhance students’ professional readiness and ensure that UNISRI graduates are competent, certified, and ready to enter the workforce.

UNISRI Rector Emphasizes the Importance of Competency Certification for Graduates

In his opening remarks, Prof. Dr. Sutoyo, M.Pd., Rector of Universitas Slamet Riyadi (UNISRI), emphasized the importance of competency certification for graduates.

“We encourage students not only to graduate with a diploma but also with professional competency certification recognized by the job market. Through LSP UNISRI, we provide opportunities for students to assess and demonstrate their skills in a professional manner,” he stated.

According to Nike Larasati, S.E., M.M., Director of LSP UNISRI, the training program included intensive sessions tailored to certification schemes recognized by the National Professional Certification Agency (BNSP). The competency assessments were conducted by certified assessors and covered various fields such as office administration, information technology, entrepreneurship, and other areas relevant to each participant’s expertise.

“We hope this program will produce graduates who are ready to enter the workforce with the competencies demanded by industry—professionally competitive at both national and international levels—and equipped with official certifications that enhance their employability,” she added.

She also reaffirmed UNISRI’s commitment to continuously organize this program on a regular basis as a tangible contribution to supporting the government’s initiative to improve human resource quality through professional certification.
